Trauma Relief and Writing Coach
I've had my hands on people since 1997, experiencing the sensation of how your body keeps the score in the way that it turns healthy, elastic, adaptive muscles into taut bands so hard that it compresses joints, bones and any sense of freedom of motion. In 2000, after realizing that massage could only kickstart the process of releasing the tension of years of stress, after much research, trial and error, I entered into the four-year FeldenkraisĀ® Training where I learned how to unwind the patterns of compensation and tension that only grew worse the older I got. I was picking up the tension of my clients as well, so it was vital, with three whiplash injuries from major car accidents at 60 mph that I find a way to first release my own pain. The work was suffering. I was getting burnt out. But when I learned the Feldenkrais MethodĀ® of Awareness Through MovementĀ® developed by physicist Moshe Feldenkrais, I found a simple process anybody can learn for neurological re-education. I specialize in helping people with trauma because the resources available are so limited and I believe people should not have to suffer.
