The Joy of Doing What You Love

Over the years we have seen a rise in awareness about how doing what you love and what brings you joy has many benefits—to the individual and to those who surround them.
We can all feel the difference between doing things that align with who we are at our core, bringing us joy, and the opposite.
Does this mean we can’t feel joy doing everyday tasks that need to be done (ones we’re not thrilled about doing)? Or that we just shouldn’t bother because we tell ourselves these tasks won’t bring us joy (yet, usually we feel a sense of joy at their completion!)? No.
But what does make a difference in our lives is joy in the overall arc of our living. Doing what we love, with the gifts we’ve been given—in a confident and consistent manner—is a formula for a happy life. When doing what we love, in service to a better world, we reach an even higher pinnacle of joy.
15-year-old Isabeau Levito is a lovely example! In the video at the end of this email, you see figure skating at its finest. Yet, what really warms our hearts is seeing, at the end of the video, when Isabeau sits in pure joy celebrating her accomplishment in doing what she loves.
Did Isabeau do this alone? No—she had a team of people who helped her all along—starting with her family and friends and then professionals who trained her and helped her achieve her goals.
Not everyone has family and friends who understand and then support what is in their hearts to do or be in the world. What do we do then? We find community of like-hearted individuals to collaborate with—who get us—so we manifest the dreams we hold.
Find, attract and collaborate with those who see the true you--
and who root for the fulfillment of your dreams.

Another woman who has followed her dream and shares the pure joy of her
creations is New World Women’s very own Annie Fitzgerald.
You can listen to Annie’s newly released song “Anam Cara” (Soul Friend in Gaelic) at the end of this post.
This really is a time to bring what inspires joy in each one of us out into the world. Can you think of a better way to raise the vibrational energy of your
own life--and the lives of others?
What joy is in you? How can you share it?
New World Women is here for you--existing on the foundation that when women share the gifts that make them feel joy, supported by loving, like-hearted sisterhood, our world is better for it.
