Honoring, Gathering, Joy & Light

The month of December is filled with special and meaningful holidays, holy days and celebrations.

Hanukkah (Chanukah), Winter Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, Ōmisoka, some of the traditions that date back many centuries, or in the case of Kwanzaa which is a newer holiday with ancient roots, all have special meaning.

Imagine for a moment, loved ones gathering to honor their traditions. A common theme among many traditions is the lighting of candles. In the Northern Hemisphere the days are shorter, so flickers of candlelight are a welcome form of beauty and warmth--even though electricity exists to light our homes. There is nothing quite like candlelight!

Whether you are one who celebrates your holiday to the max, somewhat, or not at all, there is an energy in these gatherings and traditions that raises the vibration of our world.

The lighting of one candle accompanied by a prayer, intention or kind thought, adds to this loving vibration.

Meaningful connection, the sharing of a cherished meal, laughter, the gift of time together, festivity, music, kindness or inner reflection are all forms of love. At the center of many of these honorings is the spirit of the Divine Feminine.

The creation of a new world, which is the emergent seed of New World Women, has many fine old ways to build upon--and invites innovative ones too--so humanity can blossom forth into the fullness of its being.

During this meaningful time of the year, may you and your loved ones tap into the ancient, yet always new, ways to live as one.
