Empowerment? Or Self-Empowerment?

“I feel my inner power alive in me now.”
“I do not look to others to empower me.”
“The power of love unites me with others."
“I use my power for good.”
When the three of us began co-creating New World Women in 2020, at the very heart of our intention, our Spiritual Vision, was women’s self-empowerment. The word power can have a less-than-appealing feeling to many. That may be because traditionally, and for many years, power has been used to control, punish and divide.
Power, when accessed from the deepest part of our highest and best selves—and joined with the power of others—can be a beautiful gift.
We chose to refer to the way women can be free to live as they please (what a concept!), as self-empowerment rather than empowerment.
Empowerment: authority or power given to someone to do something, implies by its very definition, that a person or entity is giving power to another.
Don’t you think it’s time for women to access their own inner power—and uplift their lives in ways that have meaning? In doing so, the extraordinary outcome is happiness, fulfillment and purpose—AND better lives for those they love, too!
As you make your way into the new year, please remember that, as a woman, you have great power—the power to love beyond measure, the power to heal yourself and others and the power to unite—just to name a few.
